This DC Surge Protection Device also known as a Surge Arrester provides protection from high voltage surges by providing a direct alternative path to earth i.e surges from lightning strikes.

Contacts on the DC surge protection device can be connected to a visual, audio alarm or PLC to indicated when an earth fault has occurred through the surge protection device.
